US to limit loans for Russian banks, oil, gas firms on Nov 28

WASHINGTON, Sep 29 (PRIME) -- Restrictions on financing of Russian banks and companies of the oil and gas sector in accordance with the new law on the U.S. sanctions will come into force on November 28, the U.S. Department of the Treasury said on Friday.

The law signed by the U.S. president in August reduces the maximum period of financing of Russian banks hurt by the U.S. sanctions to 14 days from 30 days currently and for oil and gas companies to 60 days from 90 days currently.
